Shaping the Future of Dataspaces: Building Bridges between the Hellenic and European Digital Future

The event will take place on 26 November 2025, at Benaki Museum, Peiraios 138, 11854, Athens.

The event will spotlight two leading EU funded Projects, UNDERPIN and FLEX4RES, which are shaping the future of data-driven manufacturing in Europe:

UNDERPIN project will demonstrate its mission to create a state-of-the-art platform for dynamic asset management and predictive/prescriptive maintenance.

FLEX4RES will demonstrate how secure and sovereign data exchange can empower production networks across Europe.

Both projects aim to present the importance of data sharing for the manufacturing sector by enhancing sustainability, ensuring regulatory compliance and minimizing errors across supply chains.

In addition, major industrial partners of EIT Manufacturing, Motor Oil Hellas (Energy Sector), and SIDENOR (Steel Industry) will present real-world success stories demonstrating the tangible impact of data-driven innovation.

Join us as we also celebrate the winners of the first-ever TORPEDOES Hackathon, where university students tackled a real-world Predictive Maintenance challenge for Wind Farms, using datasets from MORE (Motor Oil Renewable Energy).

The event will bring together representatives from national authorities, large manufacturing companies, academia, startups, SMEs and other key stakeholders of the innovation ecosystem to strengthen collaboration around the development and adoption of data-driven solutions in manufacturing.

The Gaia-X Summit is coming to Porto on 20-21 November 2025!

The 6th edition of the Gaia-X Summit will be held on 20-21 November in Porto, Portugal, in partnership with Gaia-X Hub Portugal and Porto Digital. This year’s event, themed “Digital Ecosystems in Action,” will feature discussions on AI and data sovereignty, showcasing visible data space initiatives that are using Gaia-X to drive innovation across Europe and beyond.

- Digital transformation must align with global supply chains, requiring parallel data chains to mirror multi-tier networks and federation of trust. The Global Trust Anchor initiative, an international collaboration based on International Open Forum on Data Society, is piloting a peer-to-peer dataspace transaction using different trust anchors—one based on the EU’s eIDAS framework and one from Japan. The pilot runs on T-Systems’ Build & Operate dataspace-as-a-service, NTT Communications’ Gaia-X framework and Fujitsu’s notary technology, demonstrating cross-jurisdictional data exchange.
